Software license
BaseBuddy is licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later. You can use, study, modify, and redistribute the software under the terms of that license.
The canonical license reference for the project is the LICENSE.md file in the GitHub repository. This website page is a plain-language overview, not a replacement for the license text.
Network use
The AGPL includes obligations when you modify the software and make it available for users to interact with over a network. In that situation, those users must be able to receive the corresponding source code for the modified version.
If you plan to modify BaseBuddy for a hosted service, internal platform, client deployment, or commercial product, read the full license carefully and get legal advice for your situation.
Self-hosting
You can self-host BaseBuddy for your own projects, including commercial projects, as long as you comply with the license. Your content, database, and infrastructure remain yours.
No legal advice
This page is here to make the license easier to find and understand. It is not legal advice. For binding terms, use the license file in the repository and the official AGPL text.
