Public website
The BaseBuddy website provides product information, documentation, support pages, and links to the hosted demo and GitHub repository. We do not ask for database credentials on the public website.
Standard infrastructure logs may include request metadata such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, and timestamps. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, debugging, and basic operations.
Hosted demo
The hosted demo exists so visitors can try BaseBuddy before connecting their own project. Demo activity may use demo data and demo infrastructure. Do not enter production secrets, private customer content, or sensitive personal data into the demo.
If the demo stores temporary state in your browser, that state is controlled by your browser and can be cleared by resetting the demo or clearing site data.
Self-hosted installs
When you self-host BaseBuddy, your deployment, database credentials, project mappings, users, and content are controlled by you. The public BaseBuddy website does not receive your self-hosted database credentials.
Your own hosting provider, database provider, email provider, and analytics tools may process data depending on how you configure your deployment.
Third-party services
BaseBuddy links to services such as GitHub, Supabase, and documentation resources. Those services have their own privacy practices. Review their policies before sharing information with them.
Contact
For privacy questions, use the contact or security reporting channel listed in the GitHub repository. Do not send secrets, database passwords, or service-role keys in a public issue.
